Join Our Church?

Are you interested in becoming a member of All Nations Church of Luxembourg?

The first step is for you to attend a membership class.  The next class is scheduled for Sunday February 12th after the worship service. Membership is important at ANCL because it is the members who ultimately make the big decisions about the church and our future.  We will plan to have a light lunch for those who attend.  The class and lunch will take less than 2 hours.  If you want to come please let us know using the contact form.  If you need childcare during the class please let us know that in advance as well.

Horizon of Hope Update

December 27th, 2011

I believe I should start by wishing you all “Happy Holidays”. I hope you are enjoying the Holidays with friends and family remembering that the main reason of joy is the birth of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

It is exciting to share with you a few new pictures which show the progress at the HOH youth center. In the past few weeks the electricity company gave us the approval to connect our building to the main electrical system. The price to connect was less than half compared with the first estimate we received about 2 years ago. If in the beginning the electrical company wanted to upgrade their system on our expense, they realized that we will not accept such terms and did the upgrade on their own expense. This way the connection price was reasonable and we are now connected.

Last week we were glad to host a team of friends from California who partnered with other volunteers from Fagaras and worked inside the HOH building. We were able to  dig through the bricks and make the channels for the electrical wiring. Our goal was to have at least 4 or 5 rooms ready. The volunteers exceeded any expectations and almost finished the first floor and a good part of the second floor. I will let you enjoy the photos and see the progress that was made.

Horizon of Hope is a missionary outreach funded in part by your generous giving through All Nations Church Global Outreach.

International Potluck and Music Extravaganza

Don’t miss the ANCL International Potluck and Music Extravaganza coming Sunday February 5th.  This is a great event to bring some friends to.  The lunch will start just after the worship service.  We are asking each family to bring two food dishes from their home culture.  Also if you have music talent you would like to share, please contact Karen O’Brien at karsher@pl.lu .  See the details below regarding the food.

What to bring:

  • Each family should bring 2 food dishes both of which should serve 6 people
  • Family name starting with the letter A – M bring an appetizer & a main dish
  • Family name starting with the letter N – Z bring a dessert & a main dish
  • If you are single please just please just bring 1 dish to share (your choice of the above)

If you don’t cook, just stop by Cactus and bring something to share with others.

Guests don’t need to bring any food and should just come and enjoy what’s provided.

Please don’t let the fact that you walk in without food keep you from staying for the event

Important things to know:

  •   Please bring your food dish to church by 10:15 to the Foyer
  •   We cannot warm, cook or refrigerate food items at our worship facility
  •   Please avoid using nuts or nut oils in food because of food allergies (if used tell us)
  •   If you need a special seat for your kids please plan to bring that with you.

The following will be provided:

  •  Water/Juice and a limited amount of wine and beer (feel free to bring a bottle or 2)
  •  A plate to put your food on, utensils, napkin
  •  Live entertainment

Want to help? We need people to help before, during and after the event with things like receiving the food before service, setting up tables after the service and clean up after the event – your help is a greatly appreciated.  Please contact Marcia Burnham to tell her when you can help and we figure out how you can help.
